For Immediate Release Rhode Island Council for the Humanities (RICH) recently awarded Art Ventures Funding $5,000 for the research and scripting of An American Jewel, a historical film about the jewelry industry in Rhode Island. A new non-profit organization, Art Ventures Funding is the recipient of the largest award given out in the Major Grants category by RICH this spring- only fourteen other projects were awarded money. Art Ventures Funding is dedicated to funding the arts in New England and is excited about getting started on this documentary. Much like RICH, Art Ventures Funding’s goals are to help alleviate the financial burden suffered by struggling artists and to increase cultural awareness.
